Terms and Conditions of Sale and Use (T&Cs)
1. Purpose
Parlyo is an online service (SaaS) that lets you add to a website an AI advisor that answers visitors in writing and by voice, based on the content supplied by the customer (the "knowledge base"). These terms govern the use of the parlyo.io website and of the service.
2. Account and free trial
Creating an account is free and requires no bank card. The Free plan is limited in volume (AI answers and voice minutes per month). The customer is responsible for the confidentiality of their login credentials.
Each plan may be supplemented with the Phone option (a telephone agent with a dedicated number, invoiced in addition at the price displayed on the Subscription page), subject to the same quota and termination conditions. The Excellence plan is sold exclusively on quotation: its quotas, its price and its specific conditions are set out in the signed quotation, which prevails over these terms in the event of any conflict.

Prices in euros, exclusive of tax where applicable. Invoicing is in euros. Amounts displayed in other currencies are indicative. Each plan includes monthly quotas (conversations, voice minutes, simultaneous sessions) described on the Subscription page; beyond them, the service is paused until the following month, without ever breaking the customer's site.
4. Payment
Payment is made by card (Stripe, and Revolut where offered) or by bank transfer with a unique reference. Card subscriptions renew automatically for each period (monthly or annual). Payment by bank transfer activates the paid period upon receipt.
30-day money-back guarantee. On the first paid subscription of an account, the customer may request, within 30 days of the first payment, a full refund of that payment, without giving any reason — simply by e-mail to contact@parlyo.io from the account's address. The refund is issued within 14 days via the original payment method (or by bank transfer for payments made by bank transfer) and the account reverts to the Free plan, without interruption of the widget. This guarantee applies once per customer and does not cover renewals.
5. Term and termination
No commitment: the customer may cancel at any time from their dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period; the widget then automatically reverts to the Free plan without interruption of the site. Data (conversations, contacts, statistics) is retained and remains accessible.
Right of withdrawal. The Parlyo service is reserved for professionals (B2B). The 14-day right of withdrawal provided for in articles L221-18 et seq. of the French Consumer Code does not apply to distance contracts concluded between professionals, the extension under article L221-3 being limited to contracts concluded off-premises. In any event, the contractual 30-day money-back guarantee (article 4) is more favourable than a 14-day right of withdrawal and voluntarily takes its place.
6. Customer obligations
- Provide lawful content in their knowledge base and inform their own visitors that a conversational agent is in use.
- Not use the service for illegal, misleading or harmful content.
- Comply with the laws applicable to their business (including the GDPR with respect to their visitors).
Data processing agreement (DPA) — A data processing agreement compliant with article 28 of the GDPR, setting out Parlyo's commitments as a processor (security, sub-processors, assistance, breach notification, fate of the data), forms an integral part of these terms: parlyo.io/dpa.
7. Service level and liability
The service is provided "as is", with a high availability target but without any guarantee of continuous availability. Answers are generated by artificial intelligence from the customer's content: despite the safeguards, an answer may be inaccurate — the customer remains responsible for verifying the critical information (prices, contractual commitments) communicated to their visitors. The publisher's liability is limited to the amount of the sums paid in respect of the last three months.
8. Personal data
Data processing is described in the privacy policy: hosting in the European Union, no advertising cookies, no resale of data, listed processors (including Google's AI API, governed by standard contractual clauses).
9. Intellectual property
The service, its brand and its code remain the property of the publisher. The content supplied by the customer (knowledge base) remains the property of the customer; the customer grants the publisher a limited licence strictly necessary for the operation of the service.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. Failing an amicable settlement, the competent courts shall be those of the jurisdiction of the publisher's registered office.
